       Saturday 20 October 2007
Geldmuseum, Leidseweg 90, Utrecht
On Saturday October 20th 2007, the annual ONS-meeting in the Netherlands will be held at the premises of the
Geldmuseum, Leidseweg 90, Utrecht.

Again a number of different subjects will be covered. As previous years, we propose to end the day with a diner in an oriental atmosphere and we have opted for the nearby speciality restaurant "Jasmijn & ik". We hope that again many people will attend the ONS-meeting and stimulate the mutual contact among the members.

The tentative program will be:

09.30 - 10.15 h Welcome with coffee/tea in the museum café at the ground floor.
10.30 - 12.30 h lectures will be held in the auditorium of the Museum.
The provisional program consist of a presentation by Paul Geraads on a small hoard of late Indo-Greek kings, which contained two coins of Badryasa. Frank Hendriks will have a small discussion on a Chinese amulet and an overstrike on a coin of the Danishmendids. Stan Goron, the editor of the Journal of the ONS, will present a lecture on the countermarks on the coins of Tahmasp I Safavid. Nico Arkesteijn will present an exposé on the donation to the Geldmuseum of Thai-coins from the collection of the deceased ONS-member Hans Meesters. A selection of this donation will also be on display in the entrance hall.

Additional short papers, questions, news items, etc. are welcome.

12.45 - 14.00 h Joint indoor lunch (approx. € 22,50/p.p.) at “First-strike” room.
14.15 - 14.45 h Lectures in the auditorium of the Museum;
Continuation of the morning session.
14.45 - 15.00 h viewing of the coins for auction.
15.00 - 16.30 h Auction of some Oriental coins. (Again a number of coins have been donated to the ONS. With the proceeds of this auction, the ONS will be supported; 5% will be added to the hammer-price). The auction list can, from the middle of September, also be consulted at the ONS website: auction list.
16.30 - 17.00 h Communications among members and informal get-together.

(Note: the museum closes at 17.00 h.)
17.15 - c. 21.00 h A drink at Museum Cafe Lombok, J.P.Coenstraat 69, Utrecht, followed by a diner (ca. € 20,=/p. excl. drinks) in the Asian restaurant “Jasmijn & Ik”, Kanaalstraat 219, Utrecht.

We hope to welcome in Utrecht as many members as in previous years in Leiden. Please inform us, at the latest before the 17th of October 2007 whether you are planning to attend the meeting and also if you intend to stay with us for diner.
